Remember, take your time and build your brand right. Start by protecting your idea by doing these simple things:
01. Create a Company Name no one else possess, and be creative!
02. Get that name and your company protected by forming a LLC or Incorporation.(Refer to legalzoom.com or your state corporation headquarters for more detail)
03. Purchase vendors, business, or building licenses needed for your company (Refer to your local county business license division for more details)
04. Request a tax identification number (refer to the Internal Revenue Service...www.irs.gov)
05. Sign up for a Dunn and Bradstreet Number www.dnb.com) (so you can start building your business credit)
06. Go to the Bank of your choice and sign up for a business checking account.
07. Purchase book keeping software., i.e. Quickbooks
If you perform these several tasks listed above, you have equipped yourself and your business with a legitimate starting point of being called an official business.
